About Rosmarinus

Rosemary may be the most versatile herb. It is not only used for cooking but is a stunning carefree landscape plant as well. Flowering when most other plants aren’t, Rosemary provides welcome color on cold, drab days. These flowers are also loved by bees and provide them with much needed winter food source.

Rosemary’s genus has been reclassified as Salvia. Previously it was in the genus Rosmarinus. All Rosemary is now botanically known as Salvia rosmarinus. Common names have not changed. So instead of Rosmarinus officinalis “Blue Boy”, the correct name is now Salvia rosmarinus “Blue Boy”. We will, as time goes by and more folks get used to this, change all botanic references for these plants.
