Growing & using Ginger Scented Geranium
Softly scented of spice, Ginger Scented Geranium is a coloful accent for any garden or patio. Planted in the ground it reaches two to three feet in height. Its form is more contained and upright than some other scented geraniums which tend to sprawl like Old Fashioned Rose Scented Geranium. With larger, more vibrant pink flowers and fuller flower clusters Ginger Scented Geranium makes a more of a show than more traditional scented geraniums like the little lilac flowers of Attar of Rose Scented Geranum.

Scented Geraniums can take a lot of root space. Ginger Scented Geranium is a good choice for container gardening. Start your new three-inch pot of Ginger Scented Geranium growing in a gallon of soil. Monitor root growth to make sure the roots are not crammed into the pot. When it becomes root bound, move it to a three gallon pot. Check each year to make sure there is still lose soil to foster new roots.
