Growing & using Feverfew
Native to Southwestern Europe Feverfew was highly valued as a medicinal herb. Fortunately the bright little daisies are ornamental and are nice tucked into mixed borders. They are especially illuminating when planted in a white garden. If seeds are allowed ripen and drop to the ground Feverfew should self sow. Ripened seeds are also attractive to small birds.

According to The Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, it was the wife of a Welsh doctor who discovered that Feverfew was good for Migraines. She apparently suffered for 50 years before using Feverfew. It is now also being investigated for use in the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis. One step at a time. Always consult a qualified practitioner before using any herb.

With its lush bright green foliage and beautiful daisy-like flowers Feverfew would make an nice addition to our English Cottage Herb Garden Six Pack.
