Growing & using Silver Dichondra
This basket of Silver Dichondra is hanging at the Missouri Botanical Garden, one of the most spectacular Botanical Gardens in the United States.
Green Dichondra is a common lawn substitute in zones 9 and 10. It trails and is heat tolerant. Silver Dichondra is similar in growth but also makes an incredible hanging basket. The silvery leaves set off dark greens and work well trailing over a wall or with other container plants. It may be taken inside over winter and does remarkably well in a sunny, heated greenhouse.
