Obelisks are a wonderful way to add old world charm while expanding vertical growing space and adding focal points to otherwise unused spaces. Group them together and form a screen or add one next to the house to break up a boring wall. Set two opposite each other for an instant gateway. We like our obelisks filled with herbs like Winter Savory, English Thyme, Chives, Parsley or Basil (to name a few!). For color, we might add one of our fragrant Dianthus or Santa Barbara Daisy. An elegant look would be to have a column of ivy or sweet peas running up the Obelisk. Shoot, you could even use them to trellis a bean plant or squash, or maybe a tomato.

These attractive scroll work patio stands bring the garden into areas that might otherwise go to waste. Bring your herbs right to the kitchen door or barbecue area. With their matte black finish are also decorative enough to use as storage units in the kitchen or bath. Just remove the coco liners and add towels, tubers or any other household items.

Some of our favorite plants to put in baskets are the smaller herbs and flowers. Herbs like Winter Savory, Chives, Garlic Chives, English or Lemon Thyme and Basil all do well in baskets. Santa Barbara Daisy, Nova Dianthus, Kent Beauty Oregano, Nutmeg Scented Geranium and Fruity Tuecrium are smaller flowers with punch. Strawberries also look great hanging over the sides of the baskets and the baskets get the fruit up off the ground where pests and disease can be a problem.
